Environmentally Preferable Products Most cleaners are relatively safe to use, and have only a small impact on the environment. However, some cleaners contain chemicals that are harmful. The trick is to use the mildest product you can that still does the job. Searching through hundreds of products to find what is needed can take a lot of time. To help businesses in our project area with this search, we reviewed and tested some products and then provided samples to anyone who requested them. PRODUCT SAMPLES We had a number of environmentally preferable products available and provided samples of: THERE WAS A CATCH Well, nothing is free. After using the samples we asked the businesses to complete a survey form to tell us what they thought of the products and if they decided to start using them with regularity.
